There’s something magical about a city at dawn.
Lights flicker on in silent apartments. Artists sketch in coffee shops before the world wakes. Coders stare at glowing screens, fueled by midnight dreams. All over the city, people build, paint, write, and create—in quiet moments no one sees.
These silent sparks are what inspired me to write my new novel, Silent Sparks: Beginnings Unseen.
Why I Wrote This Book
Like many of you, I’ve felt invisible at times. I’ve wrestled with questions like:
- Is my art good enough?
- Will anyone notice what I’m building?
- Can one person really make a difference?
In Silent Sparks, I wanted to tell a story for dreamers. For people who keep showing up even when no one’s clapping. For those who create beauty in unseen hours.
Meet Maya and Ethan
Maya is an artist working café shifts, pouring her hope into cityscapes no one has seen—yet. Ethan is a coder trapped in the corporate grind, secretly building an app that might connect creators and communities.
Their paths keep crossing in Maple Heights—a fictional North American city bursting with murals, music, and hidden potential.
But when disaster strikes—a ruined painting, a crashed app—the city itself becomes a character, pushing them to fight for what matters.
Why This Story Matters
I believe motivation isn’t just about big speeches or viral quotes. It’s about the small, unseen moments:
- Picking up the paintbrush after a rejection.
- Staying up one more hour to finish your code.
- Choosing hope, even when no one’s watching.
Silent Sparks is a love letter to those moments—and to everyone who believes quiet work can change the world.
